Below is an image of the inside of the "puck" that does the initial processing in the Nike Hyperdunk:
The unit has an accelerometer as well as processing the info from 4 pressure sensors.
The puck has 9 input/output electrodes on the flat end; but the shoe only uses the center 7.
I haven't pulled the USB interface with the puck apart yet ... it will be interesting to see which pins the USB power wires and data wires go to.
